Visby, Gotland 🇸🇪 Absolute gem of a town. The island of Gotland was tremendously rich during the Viking age and the Middle Ages due to its superb location in terms of trade. If you want to know more about trade in Medieval Europe (and especially around the Baltic Sea - the best sea)I can definitely recommend reading up on the Hanseatic League (where Visby was an important member).
