Sunday Summary. New Year, New Opportunities! Saudi Arabian – Iranian Tensions. A Solid Video Recommendation!
Posted on January 3, 2016
A new year is upon us and as I have already stated I have high hopes for the coming year. To give my prediction in a single sentence: Less degeneracy and more gloriousness. What I count as degeneracy are (among others): drugs, alcohol, weakness, political correctness. And what I count as gloriousness (what I mean more exactly is easier to understand for those who have been with me for a while): training hard with a purpose, abstinence from above mentioned indulgences (in excess), love for family, nation, heritage, nature. The list can be made very long indeed. However, what is most important is that we continue to work hard to combat degeneracy and promote proper values!
For myself I will start the new year easy and ramp up the intensity later on when spring revitalises the earth. As much as I would love to train insane all the time, I need to pace myself. With this said the main focus will be on the martial arts for now (BJJ and boxing to be more precise). Below is a picture of the team’s new ring, which is an absolutely glorious addition! Screenshot from this video: (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4hZvR99_rHo).
In regards to global politics there has arisen tensions between Saudi Arabia and Iran over an Saudi execution of a Shiite cleric (https://www.rt.com/news/327755-saudi-embassy-iran-protest/). This is just a single event but when viewing it in the larger context of the mosaic of Middle Eastern relations (or global relations for that matter) it becomes interesting. If you have read my previous Sunday Summaries I have touched upon this topic before, alas it is worth mentioning the dynamics of the region once again. Islam has two main branches; Sunni and Shia, the majority of the world’s Muslims are Sunni and Saudi Arabia is Sunni whereas Iran is Shia. So there is already that distinction between the two. Furthermore Saudi Arabia is an ally of USA/NATO and Israel. Saudi Arabia is an important partner for the United States due to its large oil production and is thus immune to many demands that would otherwise be placed upon them: an interesting comparison is how Putin’s Russia is treated in Western media in relation to the infamous “anti gay propaganda”-laws, versus the fact that homosexuality is punishable by death in Saudi Arabia.
Iran, on the other hand, has closer ties to Russia and also to Syria’s Bashar al-Assad. So to conclude the situation: Saudi Arabia and Iran are on the opposite sides of the ongoing chess-game in the Middle East, which makes this “incident” interesting to follow!
Lastly, in an attempt at furthering your training motivation (kicking the new year off in a glorious manner), I highly recommend watching the following video. It is very well produced and contains a great message, you can activate subtitles for the video (it is in Russian). It also grants me plenty of motivation to make epic videos myself.
Sunday Summary. Christmas. The Instagram Trolling. Lan Party with Warhammer Vermintide. ISIS update.
Posted on December 28, 2015
I hope everyone who reads these profound words have had (and still have ) a great Christmas. I am really happy with my Christmas. I haven’t made any videos the last week and the reason for this is mainly due to wanting to spend Christmas in a bit more relaxed tempo, furthermore I do not want to let social media encroach on my life too much. Everything does not need to be documented (photographed or filmed), this is something that I wish more people would understand in this day and age: To live more in the moment and think less of how the perfect picture might look. With that said I didn’t take any pictures or such during Christmas itself, alas to describe it briefly it was really joyous, I spend most of the day playing with my 7 year old nephews (twins), they are like 7-year old versions of myself which is absolutely glorious. We did some boxing (I have both pads and gloves at my parents home) in addition to building some Lego that they got as presents. Good times!
The Instagram Trolling of Joy
If you have browsed through your Instagram today you might have come across the picture below where I in my picture (the top one) look a lot bigger than my friends the Abelian Bull and Beowulf. The original post is here: https://www.instagram.com/p/_zu2LKjO8b/?taken-by=latsbrah .
The second picture is the one the Abelian Bull uploaded (https://www.instagram.com/p/_zuzf6tEZ1/?taken-by=alexstrongmann) followed by the one Beowulf uploaded (https://www.instagram.com/p/_zu7w0jMay/?taken-by=b3owulf).
Follow the links to appreciate the trolling aspect of the deed!
What we are doing is to out-angle each other, which means that the one who out-angles the others look a lot bigger, which in most cases (this included) consists of standing closer to the camera and also standing at the end of the picture (my left arms close to the camera and close to the side to add the illusion of great size). So this is something you can keep in mind when looking at comparison pictures. A picture is very easy to manipulate. I have talked about this many times before, but it is worth mentioning again: Never judge someone’s physique based upon a few pictures alone, videos are better in this regard and seeing someone in the flesh is even better.
Lastly, for reference, both the Abelian Bull (130 kg) and Beowulf (115 kg) are bigger than I (100 kg).
I also participated in a highly joyous lan yesterday and today, since we were four true friends (myself, Coffebrah, Abdominis and Nattypete) we decided upon trying the newish Warhammer: Vermintide. It is a co-op game for up to 4 players where you liberate a war-torn city from the marauding Skaven. I particularly liked the game since I have read so many books from the Warhammer Fantasy lore. The game also gave a really good Lord of the Rings feel to it, which of course is to its credit! I also like these sort of co-operative games when laning, it creates a more epic feel. If you are into Warhammer and have a few friends that also like Fantasy this game is a must, the setting is one of the coolest I’ve seen in a game which makes it very immersive. The graphics are also very good which adds to this. I sincerely hope to see more Warhammer games come out in the coming time!
Lastly in this Sunday Summary I just briefly wanted to mention this interesting article: ISIS leader threatens Israel, calls for revolt in Saudi Arabia.
Which basically, as the title suggests, shows what the future might bring. As we know now, Israel and Saudi Arabia have indeed not been the most hostile nations to the Islamic State (ISIS soldiers have been treated in Israeli hospitals for example). Now, however, it would seem that the IS has served their purpose and will probably die out in the coming year. They have only been alive for this long due to being backed by powerful forces, but now it is too risky for said powerful forces to continue to back them, and thus they will (this is my prediction at least), fall within a year.
Sunday Summary. Assad & Syria. Music Update. Dishonored Review
Posted on December 20, 2015
Above is a picture of Syria’s legitimate ruler, Bashar al-Assad, whom the Western media has done their best to portray as a ruthless dictator, which would be hilarious if it weren’t for the fact that reality looks like it does in Syria at the moment. As I have said in several videos, the “uprising” in Syria was not an organic or native uprising at all, but instigated by the the West, even Sweden contributed resources to “moderate” rebels in order to topple Assad. Now of course, there is no such thing as moderate rebels. There are ISIS and various mercenary factions paid by foreign interests to usurp power from Assad. As with all things there are many nuances and angles of this. I am not saying that Assad is an optimal leader and a saint, what I am saying, however, is that Syria will be better with him in power. Just as Iraq would have been better with Saddam Hussein in power and Libya with Muammar Ghaddafi in power. It would seem that some people are under the disbelief that “democracy” and tenderness is the best solution in all cases. Which is incredibly narrow-minded. What works in northern Europe is not necessarily what words in the Middle East. One size does not fit all.
In other news I have been made aware of a very good music YouTube channel, with various nationalistic songs. At first I listened through the music in order to be a good true friend (because I said I’d give it a look), and I must say that many of the songs are very good. The song embedded below is a French rap song. I am usually not the biggest fan of rap but it is a great style of music to reach out with a political message (there are subtitles to the video).
The song below is named “Go Vegan” which might speak to my vegan followers. The reason for posting it is not to promote any sort of vegan agenda but merely because it is so good and testosteronous. Proper PWO-music!
I definitely suggest you listen through some of the songs on the YouTube channel! https://www.youtube.com/user/EuropeanUnity565
Furthermore I have the honour of presenting the true friend who has made my new intro, Einar Stigulfsson. I predict that he will come out with a lot of highly epic songs in the coming time!
And lastly in this music update we have Maxime Solemn, proudly presenting him as a true friend as well! PWO-music at its finest!
Since I still do not have any decent beard updates I will post this never seen before (I think at least) picture. I haven’t posted it before due to the eyes looking unfocused but the overall aesthetics of the picture is cool enough, I went for a classic Germanic hero look!
Lastly I will share a short review of the game Dishonored, which I played through last week. Usually I do not try out games from series I do not know, alas I decided to try this one because I like assassin type games. Dishonored is set in a steam-punk Victorian London (not London, but London-like fantasy city).
I was unsure whether to recommend this game or not. And I will be perfectly honest, no I do not recommend this game. Even though the combat mechanics was quite cool, the game lacked in story, graphics and overall flow. And it was a bit too dystopic for me, this is obviously down to individual taste. If you are a fan of steam-punk and/or dystopian settings it could be worth it. If not I suggest you find another game!
