A message to my Traditionalist true friends!
Posted on March 25, 2015
I would like to elaborate on something that more friends in the same struggle towards a more glorious society needs to realise. And that is that a lot of things aren’t, in all actuality, mutually exclusive. To take a prime example, gaming and exploring.
Just because I like to game doesn’t mean that I don’t also love to be out and about in the hills and forests or in the cities looking for epic places. On the contrary, the two are actually complementing each other. The scenery of this image for example, reminded me of both Rohan (from Lord of the Rings) and Skyrim, which heightened my pleasure of being there. Had I been inspired by Sex and the City instead of J.R.R Tolkien and epic fantasy settings I would not have appreciated the beauty of the place as much as I do now. By the same token I can also appreciate Skyrim and epic films more since I have experienced the scenery portrayed there (as in similar settings).
Moreover, speaking of this, there is also a misconception that being out and about in nature isn’t compatible with bringing your phone/camera. For me, knowing that I can create a really powerful artwork (as in the imagine with my own physique, posing at an epic place) also heightens the pleasure of the experience, it doesn’t detract from it.
The same principle can also be applied with gaming and lifting. For me gaming grants motivation in the Temple of Iron, after all, what guy does not want to look like the Barbarian character in any given RPG. Now I am obviously not condoning of guys ONLY gaming, as it will be detrimental to our success, however, I (and many with me) are paying our dues in the Temple daily.
I would encourage everyone who reads this to not always find conflicts but to find how things can complement each other. Wisdom and strength doesn’t go against each other, you can’t choose because you need both to be glorious.
Men and women doesn’t go against each other because they complement and bring out the best in each other, a glorious society needs both, to claim otherwise is sacrilege.
Certain modern things do not go against being traditional, you don’t need to choose between being a gentleman and having Instagram.
And to take a final example, appreciating classic music does not mean that you can’t love Metal. Not thinking that deadlifting to a brutal song sounds amazing can only be classified as heresy in my world.
Sunday Summary
Posted on March 23, 2015
I spent last week in Good Old Ireland in order to optimize my glory in the eyes of the Gods.
St. Patrick’s day was spent climbing Mount Brendan where St. Brendan is said to have spotted America on a sunny day. The legend of St. Brendan the Navigator is a story intertwined with myth (as is often the case with older documentations) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brendan.
The climb/hike up was rather arduous but didn’t really present any challenge for our superior physiques.
The road upwards was marked with glorious crosses and at the top a larger cross stood. I filmed quite a bit on the way up and I will release a longer video in the coming days, I just need to make a good work editing it to make justice of its epicness.
As I said on my Facebook I also had a pint of Guinness later in the evening. This does not mean that I condone of degenerate alcohol culture but it was rather as a participation in a cultural context. I usually state that alcohol should be abstained from completely, and the reason for this is because most people cannot use moderation with success, and then it is better to cut it out completely. I am however at a stage where I can be satisfied with one Guinness and share a bottle of wine with my loved one as a part of a romantic evening. This can be done every once in a while.
However, if you are coming to me for advice on how to optimize gains and become glorious I will straight up tell you to stay away from alcohol for a good few years until you attain a different mindset.
I released this little video the other day (which was a separate video from the larger video material). Showing a castle ruin.
I also wrote and article on why I am sometimes looking natural (as in the picture above) and sometimes not natural at all, available here: http://narcissus.se/2015/03/21/the-natural-physique/
In other news I will temporarily slow down the frequency of my YouTube uploads, the reason for this is because I want to focus on my studies a bit harder for some time (a few weeks) to get back on track. I always found it hard to focus on different things at the same time, I would rather go hard at something completely than do things half-done. So I will switch my focus slightly for a while, I will still aim at keeping at least 4 videos a week up though.
Nothing is set in stone, however, and no major changes will be made!
The Natural Physique
Posted on March 21, 2015
I thought to elaborate on something that comes up once in a while, namely on how I sometimes look very unnatural yet sometimes (as in this picture) look natural.
What everyone has to realise is that bodybuilding/physique/modelling has very much to do with illusions. It is like powerlifting and technique. Yes, to have good lifts you need to be very strong, but you also need good technique, and in bodybuilding you need to bring a lot of mass (in my case a 100 kg) but you also need to be able to present it well, not only via angles, lighting and poses, but also (in my case of a photoshoot) via making good preparations. The picture you are looking at right now is quite far away from the form I would show in a photo session, ie no training for a few days, no pump, not the best diet (not having a Guiness on St.Patrick’s day when in Ireland is sacrilege) etc. How the physique looks can vary greatly over the day as well, depending on a great many factors. The most notable example is probably the famous ‘morning shred’, ie when you are really lean and wake up even leaner or the even more famous ‘the pump’ which is when you look your most massive!
Lighting and tan also plays a huge role (which is why you see all bodybuilders spraytanned as dark as possible).
With all this said, never judge a physique from what you see in pictures, the best way to see how someone really looks is by looking at enough videos or meeting them in real life.
If this had been 1,5 or so years ago I would never have posted this picture, but as time go by you tend to take a more relaxed stance to things. And furthermore, I really like the picture just because the effortlessness of it. Sure, it is by no means a masterpiece that will attract the Eye of the Gods, but it means that I have left behind the sad and negative view that some bear with them, for example that they always have to present their best (ie not wanting to take of the shirt because they don’t have visible abs during the bulk etc), which makes them unable to enjoy life at all times. As stated in Horus Heresy Fulgrim: “If I were to await perfection, my work would never be finished”.
This does not mean that I don’t constantly strive for perfection. It merely means that I can enjoy myself at any stage of the year, and not only during the summer months when I am mean and lean. This is also hugely important for others to realise, enjoy the journey at every stage or you are wasting precious life.
