Sunday Summary
Posted on November 23, 2014
The training of the week has been revolving around the usual, bench and technique training for the deadlift, which is coming along just fine, I did a rather easy repetition on 200 kg with the new form (utilizing more legs as opposed to back), I will try to get at least 260 until the next meet, which will be in late January, this might seem like a large leap but keep in mind that I’ve done 252,5 kg already and the new technique should yield more strength due to my great leg strength.
Speaking of that I will also wait about three more weeks to hit another cycle of Russian Squat Routine, so that I might have the end of that cycle (6 weeks) near the meet.
Moreover I have had a week of intellectual energy, which I have utilized to compose different philosophical texts on the Facebook page (linked to the left). I have also created a new section on this site where I will post these texts as well, as everyone aren’t on Facebook, although I highly suspect that the most of you reading this got here via Facebook :). Another point to keep the texts on this page as well is in case my Facebook gets shut down and just for the sake of convenience.
I will continue these texts as I really like to compose epic texts and because I feel like I have plenty of thoughts and wisdom to share.
I have also posted no less than four glorious Let’s Plays, gaming Total War: Rome II as Macedon, in honour of Alexander the Great. I am really happy with this campaign and the quality of these videos. I will make a separate video on why I make so many gaming videos later on.
I will also during the coming week make some Skyrim Let’s Plays, which will also be aimed at a larger audience, ie, also people who would normally watch only my regular videos. I will utilize a facecam in those videos in addition to a good audio quality (just going to find a good setup), and also a higher level of interaction. I felt that my Ryse Son of Rome videos was too intense for me to really elaborate on things since I had to concentrate so much. Skyrim, on the other hand, offers a more varied experience and gives more room for interaction.
Speaking of videos it is actually in order for me to do an epic training video soon, I haven’t really done one of those in a while and that is one of my favourite things to do, the whole process, filming it, choosing a hero to dedicate it to, choosing music, etc.
I hit 8000 subscribers on YouTube yesterday, which felt really good, when I hit 10 000 I will make some sort of special video, not sure what yet though :).
Violence, Sex and Eating, the Civilized Man and the Savage
Posted on November 23, 2014
What separates the Civilized Man from the Savage?
Whether he lets his primal desires rule him or not. Whereas the Savage is under complete and utter thrall to the whims of his primitive urgings, the Civilized Man on the other hand is in complete control of these desires and rule them with a firm hand.
Does this mean that the Civilized Man might not enjoy these things? Or even that these desires are beneath him?
No, what is means is that he is in full control of them in the sense that he will not mindlessly lose control of the situation.
To exemplify this the Savage might, when enraged, lose his temper and resort to violence, even though the situation does not warrant it. The Civilized Man in the same situation would reign in his inner beast in the insight that uncontrolled violence is unworthy of him.
Alas in another situation there just might be the case that violence is warranted indeed. Should the Civilized Man enjoy the violence, the subjugation of his foe, the rush of adrenaline flowing through his mind and body? Yes he may, in the knowledge that this was a calculated action and not a situation where he let his inner beast take control, but rather that he took control of the beast and unleashed it.
There might also arise a situation where the Civilized Man would resort to violence whereas the Savage would not. A situation where the Savage would rather run, yet honour dictates that the Civilized Man act aggressively.
Sex is one of the strongest urgings there are. And this is natural, just as natural as violence. And thus the reasoning above must be adhered to, mindlessly succumbing to one desire is no better than succumbing to another.
Is sex something that is unworthy for an aspiring Paragon of Civilization? No, yet again it all depends on the given situation. Will succumbing to the desire be detrimental to yourself or to others? If the answer is yes then it is unworthy.
If, however, neither participant’s honour is compromised and you are in control of the situation and your desires it must be enjoyed to its fullest as it is a natural and healthy sensation.
Eating is just as the other sensations a good test of character. When the choice presents itself and you know that you could either succumb to your desires and have a short-term satisfaction or be true to your long-term commitment to yourself, what you choose here must be in accord with your ideals. Of course this is easier said than done, alas when bearing these thoughts in mind it becomes easier to take the better path.
Just as the above mentioned desires, eating can also be relished. When you realise that you are in full control of it you should enjoy it to its fullest and if possible make it into an art-form.
The Civilized Man realises that primal desires must be kept in check. Alas he also knows that it should be enjoyed when possible, as they are natural instincts.
Admiration of other men’s physiques
Posted on November 22, 2014
There is nothing gay about admiring the physique of another man. The reason for this is that it is the inner qualities that you admire. Qualities that you evolutionary speaking would want in your brothers.
Strength because the strength of your brothers in addition to your own will determine how well you fare against hostile tribes and wild animals.
Determination because having weak-minded betas as your brothers will be severely detrimental to your own survival.
When you have come a long way on the journey towards physical enlightenment you will respect others participating in the same journey, a respect and admiration that might seem odd in the eyes of unworthy mortals.
The admiration stemming from another soul of physical perfection will thus always be greater in its praise. Where a regular soul will admire just your body, a glorious soul will admire your physique in addition to the mental qualities that are now testament in your aesthetics. Determination, dedication, the ability to grind on for a long period of time, overcoming obstacles and most importantly not giving up.
To harbour a defeatist attitude is something that must be feared and avoided at all cost. The most glorious victories in history has been made through valiant endeavours of a brave few. All harbouring the inner qualities of greatness. Where others have seen only darkness and despair the brave few would believe that it was not to late, that is was worth the risk, that it was better to at least make an attempt than to stand idly by.This attitude must always be adhered to.
So if you have an inner defeatist attitude, disregard it, forgive yourself and realise that it is never to late and that the next dawn might just be golden.
Physical and Mental Perfection
Posted on November 21, 2014
Only when striving towards physical perfection might one attain mental perfection and true enlightenment.
The philosophers and wise men of Ancient Hellas knew this and put great emphasis on manly virtues and aesthetics. A healthy mind must be contained in a healthy body.
On the journey towards physical glory you might receive the divine insights that will lead to mental perfection.
First of all you will realise that you must constantly go forward, that there is no upper limit to which your mind can reach. You will also realise that each day is a gift to be treasured. Each day a unique opportunity to take one small step forward. You will realise that people around you are to be treated as friends and that everyone has something to teach you, absorbing their knowledge will enhance your own.
However, you will also realise that some people are degenerate and unworthy even of your acknowledgement. Pay no heed to these lesser mortals as their negativity and inferiority will only be detrimental to your own success.
You will put yourself above others not by pushing them down but when you bring them up with you.
Your strength will breed confidence. That confidence will allow you to be so secure in yourself that you will treat others justly, knowing that your kindness comes from a position of supreme strength and not weakness.
Your physical and mental strength will also enable you to bring destruction to the decadent forces who would like nothing more than to see you remain a passive sheep so that they unopposed may bring chaos and mayhem to your home, your wealth.
You will also realise that the supreme virtue of loyalty must be adhered to, the brothers who would valiantly stand by your side in a time of need must also conform to the same teachings as you to, this in order to go forward together. Their success is your success, their strength is your strength.
When striving to transcend mortality you must leave behind degeneracy and decadence. You must learn to act like a God, think like a God, look like a God.
